The Benefits-GAP Photo is a quick photo production service. In most cases, digital versions of your photos are available to you within hours after your special event. In addition, GAP Photo is about the subject and image. We cover an event in a photo-journalistic manner, telling a story and creating artful images. Printing is secondary to us. If you process your photos through us, that is appreciated and you will receive high quality prints, but it is not really what we strive to do. We want to impress you with the quality of images we create. We travel lightly, enjoy our region and love to meet new people and make art of new subjects.
The Drawbacks-We are not a studio, nor do we pretend to operate one. If you insist on studio glitz, we suggest you find a solid studio photographer in your area. Most studio photographers however, won’t come to your house or barn or neighboring property to create the photos you really want! We don't carry a lot of equipment, but that doesn’t keep us from creating amazing images in your favorite places!

I am a professional photojournalistic/editorial style wedding photographer with a background in photojournalism. My formal education as a studio artist centered primarily around environmental portraiture using 35mm and medium-format film and printing, although currently I do all of my work using digital camera gear. I love photographing weddings in the photojournalistic/editorial style, in part, because it allows me to draw upon all of my photography experience and creative vision. It also provides me with the unique opportunity to be of service to people during one of the oldest and most enduring sacred rites of passage in human history. Plus, it's a lot like photographing news without having to chase people around to get names!

In addition, I have been the official wolf photographer for Wolf Haven International since 1998. It is a tremendous honor and privilege for me (see my wolf photos in the 'FINE ART' section of this site for more information).

Locally, my images have been published in Northwest, AAA Journey, the Peninsula Daily News' Bridal Planner and Sunset magazines, and in newspapers throughout Washington State and beyond including Alaska Airlines and Delta Sky magazines. My style has been described as being “frank and ethereal” and “cinematic.” As a full time Olympic Peninsula resident with ties to New England, I am a juried Photography Artist Member of the Rockport Art Association (Massachusetts) and the Blue Whole Gallery in Sequim, Washington where my limited edition fine art prints may be purchased.
