I started making cakes 17 years ago, when my son, who was turning 3 at the time wanted a specialty cake. So, I went to my local grocery store and ordered it. When it came time to actually eat the cake I was was disappointed with the taste, texture and appearance. I felt it just wasn't good enough for my little boy and so I decided to bake my children's cakes from that day forward. Today, I operates a business called Party Cakes and I must admit my skills have grown so much over the years I went from a cake decorator to a cake artist. I never knew that a person could take a piece of cake and turn it into a work of art. Literally my cake is my canvas.
